Get to know the territory of El Salvador visiting the relief map, located in El Zapote barracks. We will continue to the historical centre, visiting the Metropolitan Cathedral, in whose crypts are buried the remains of Archbishop Oscar Arnulfo Romero. Later we will go to the Gerardo Barrios Square, pass by new and modern shopping centres and will continue towards Santa Elena residencial area where the American Embassy is located. Later we will go to the La Puerta del Diablo (the Devil´s Gate), an impressive rocky formation with a spectacular panoramic view. We will continue to the Planes de Renderos where we will be able to enjoy a pretty panoramic view of the city of San Salvador; here we will enjoy the delicious pupusas made with maize, a typical Salvadoran dish, dating from pre-Columbian times.
We cannot leave without visiting the Plaza de las Américas where the monument to the patron saint of El Salvador is located, finishing the route in the National Handicraft Market. Return to the hotel.
